BOWLING COACH


JOB TITLE: Master Teaching Professional (Bowling Coach)

EMPLOYER: Kegel LLC

REPORTS TO: VP Training Center-Pro-Shops

SUMMARY: Responsible for giving lessons to customers who come to Kegel to improve their bowling skills. They also perform customer service duties like fitting and drilling bowling balls, selling bowling accessories, answering the phone and provide additional education at camps and special events.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides Bowling Instruction for private lessons and camps.

  • Follows up with clients on a regular basis.

  • Coaches the Webber University Bowling Team.

  • Continues to study the game at all levels while further developing the KTC coach philosophy.

  • Provides pro shop services for all customers.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:

    • IBPSIA Certified, USBC Silver Certification or higher or equivalent.

  • Computer skills required: Presentation Software (PowerPoint), Spreadsheet Software (Excel); and Word Processing Software (Word).

  • Other skills required:

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    • Ability to relate and teach to a variety of personalities, backgrounds and age groups.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl

  • Frequently required to talk or hear

  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 100 pounds / continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision

  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used:

    • SPECTO, Video Software, Drilling Machine, Fitting Tools.
